Fellow Scouters - Tragedy has stuck very close to home for many of us this week. I wanted to share this information and invite all units to come together to support Pack 391 (Occoneechee Council) in this time of loss.
There was a car accident in Garner on Monday night (Family of 3 killed in Garner crash remembered as generous, compassionate stewards for community). Tyler Campbell and his wife Susan were killed, and their son Miles was in critical condition at WakeMed but passed away Tuesday evening.
Tyler was an Assistant Den Leader at Pack 391 and Miles was a
Cub Scout in that Pack, who just crossed over to Bears. The article even has a picture of Miles in his Cub Scout uniform.

Pack 391 is holding a Vigil/remembrance for Miles and his Family
Monday June 3rd at 7 pm
Garner United Methodist Church
201 Methodist Dr, Garner, NC 27529 at their fire pit.
Pack 391 has extended the invitation to anyone, who would like to attend. This, of course, extends to all Scouts. I think it would be great to show the fellowship of our Scouting Program and to celebrate the life of a young Cub Scout, if Tuscarora Scouts attended the Vigil.
As I am sure you can imagine, this loss is a significant and severe impact to Pack 391. As with all Cub Scout units they are entering into their summertime program. Since this loss is so recent, I'm not sure if Pack 391 is going to have a summertime program. While not requested by Pack 391, Tuscarora units could consider, as appropriate and reasonable, inviting Pack 391 to participate in their summertime activities. Even if they do not accept invitations to join in the events, I think it will be helpful for the Pack's leaders to know that they are thought of by their fellow Scouters.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as well as Pack 391 and all who suffered this loss.

A husband, wife and child all died in a crash on Memorial Day in Garner. Friends say their light shines on through the kindness and compassion they showed the people around them.
