Today we celebrate World Behavior Analysis Day—a day dedicated to the science of behavior and the impact it has on individuals and families every single day.

At Navigating Autism Together, we believe behavior is communication. Through compassion, evidence-based practices, and community support, we help individuals build meaningful skills and thrive in their own unique way.

This day also honors B. F. Skinner, whose work laid the foundation for behavior analysis as we know it today.

Let’s continue to learn, support, and grow—together. 💙

Meltdowns and tantrums are not the same 💙

A tantrum is goal-driven (trying to get or avoid something).
A meltdown is overload-driven (the brain and body are overwhelmed).

👉 Tantrums need boundaries.
👉 Meltdowns need support and safety.

Understanding the difference helps us respond with compassion, not punishment.
