Claysville American Legion Riders

Over the past 8 days, I participated in the 2026 American Legion Legacy Run, riding from Lincoln, Nebraska, to Fort Knox, Kentucky—a 1,000-mile ride raising money for the American Legion Veterans Children Fund.

We traveled through small-town America 🇺🇸, with people waving American flags along the way. We visited veterans’ homes, war memorials and museums, and saw some beautiful parts of our country.

We finished at the General Patton Leadership Museum at Fort Knox. To date, more than $500,000 has been raised for this important fund.

A rewarding and memorable experience! I traveled 2,496.7 miles round trip—left in the rain and came home in the rain! 🏍️🇺🇸

Tonight we celebrated the 2026 Sgt. Kennedy Scholarship recipients and volunteers with a pizza party. This year the Sgt. Kennedy Community Day and Ride raised $19,500 for the scholarship fund. Thank you to everyone who contributed to make this year a success. We appreciate it so much. Congratulations to the recipients. 🇺🇸

Cecil American Legion Post 793: 11 a.m. Monday, May 25, 2026, a service will be held at the Cecil American Legion Post 793, 3323 Millers Run Road, Cecil.

Thank you to everyone that made the Sgt. Kennedy Community Day and Ride a success. It was such a fun day. We appreciate everyone who sponsored, donated, bought tickets, rode, and volunteered. It really takes everyone coming together to make it great. We have the best small town. Thank you all so much🇺🇸.
