New to the fair this year, we are going to have our rescheduled dog show! All proceeds go to paws with a cause!

Battle of the Bands is here again! This year, all proceeds will go to The John Tracy Center.

Our Ladies (along with the AMVETs and Sons) traveled to Louisville this weekend for the Annual KY Dept of AMVETs convention.

As you can see, it’s not easy getting all of us together to get a picture (still missing one of our Ladies). It’s always a fun time to get together with all of the other Posts in the State to end the year and celebrate our nations heroes!

Congratulations to all of our State Officers and we wish everyone luck in the coming year!

On Tuesday, AMVETs Post 67 members Mike Townsend, Cherie Carpenter, and Hugh Reed and Ladies Auxiliary member Michaela Stone had the pleasure of organizing and putting on a Memorial Day ceremony for the students at Clay City Elementary. Hugh gave the opening and closing prayers, Michaela talked about the history of the Flag, The Pledge of Allegiance, and The Star-Spangled Banner, Mike talked about how Memorial Day got started and why it is important, and Cherie played “Taps” on the Bugle. We had student participation with the reading of a poem by one student and a performance of “Grand Ol’ Flag” by the choir.
