TheRock

TheRock We are a youth center providing after-school and summer programs for elementary-age students. Our calendar runs with the school calendar.

The Rock is a ministry of Wreath, Inc., a 501(c)3 organization, that provides free programs for youth in Clay City, IN. The Rock offers after-school programming for students in grades 2-6. We are open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday after school until 5:30 pm. Students can walk, ride a bus, or be dropped off at The Rock. They are given a snack, helped with homework, taught a bible lesson

twice a week, and chaperoned by adult volunteers as they play with their friends. In the summer, The Rock has an 8-week summer program on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. There are many activities planned for the summer program including field trips, crafts, swimming, guest speakers, and cooking. Students also receive a snack each day. Bible lessons are taught throughout the summer program. In addition, The Rock has many like new prom dresses that range in price from free to $50. Girls are encouraged to come and take a look at our selection for their school dances. The Rock is also available to rent for private parties, family get-togethers, showers, etc.

Just a reminder to parents of elementary students...it's time to register your child/children for The Rock's after-school program. Even children who have attended previously must be registered again for the new year.

It's time to register your child for The Rock's after-school program.

Our program will begin on Tuesday, September 8th.

It is a free program for students in grades K-6. Children can get off the bus, walk, or be dropped off at The Rock. We feed them a generous snack, help with homework, teach bible-based lessons, and provide chaperoned play time.

Our hours are from 3:15 - 5:30 pm, Monday-Friday. We are closed on Wednesdays.

Each student attending our program must register...even students who have attended in the past. We require a new registration form each school year.

You may register at therockclaycity.com or call Laura at 812-239-3961 for a registration form.

I've been doing some spring cleaning and sorting at The Rock. I set a few things on the sidewalk that are free if anyone wants them... including the tables.

Also...I was told today there was a rumor circulating that we were closing. The Rock is NOT closing. Our after-school program will begin on September 8th for the 2026-27 school year.

So thankful for all of my volunteers who've made this a successful year! I have some of the best!

We need your help!
The Rock is pursuing building a gym/community building on our property. We would like this facility to serve our youth, local families, and community. We believe this facility could provide space for sports/practices, after-school activities, exercise programs, community events, parties, etc. -- but we need to show there is a real need.
