Members of our chapter recently attended the Illinois State FFA Convention, where we sat through several sessions and walked around visiting booths, alongside thousands of FFA members from across the state.

While at convention, members watched the election of the 2026-2027 Illinois State Officer Team. We would like to congratulate Haven Cash on being elected as the Illinois State Reporter. We are beyond excited for her and look forward to seeing all the things she will accomplish.

We would also like to recognize LouEllen Harvel for performing in the drum line. She has worked hard, and we are so proud!

Members enjoyed spending quality time together, shopping, exploring Springfield, and having fun at the Airbnb. We are grateful for this opportunity and eagerly anticipate returning next year!

The Clay City FFA would like to invite all members of the community to attend our FFA Alumni meeting/dinner on June 30th at 6PM. It will be held in the Clay City School cafeteria and open to any past FFA members, business owners, parents of students or any individuals who may be interested in supporting the members of the Clay City FFA. You do not have to have been in FFA to join an Alumni association. Come enjoy a meal of brats, pork burgers, coleslaw, and mac & cheese while connecting with those who support the FFA.We hope to see everyone there.

Section 23 Banquet

Today, members of our chapter traveled to Louisville for the Section 23 FFA Banquet. It was a great night connecting with other chapters and celebrating achievements across our section.

The evening began with opening ceremonies, followed by a powerful Creed speaking presentation from the first-place winner and candidate speeches for the 2026–2027 officer team. We then heard from keynote speaker Tami Craig Schilling, recognized CDE/LDE accomplishments, and watched the officer installation. The night ended with an invocation and a meal catered by Los Tres Caminos, where members enjoyed a fun evening conversing with other FFA chapters.

On April 28th, we celebrated our chapter’s accomplishments from the past year. During the event we highlighted the Career Development Events (CDEs) we participated in, featured our public speakers as they recited the FFA Creed, presented Greenhand and Chapter Degrees, and recognized one student from each class as a Star Student.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our dedicated supporters and sponsors for their continued encouragement. A special thank you goes to The Green Pig for providing an excellent meal.

In addition, the chapter honored our senior members for their commitment and involvement over the past years. The evening concluded with the installation of the 2026–2027 officer team.
