One year ago, Clay Center Community Improvement Foundation took a big step forward by transitioning from fully volunteer-led to having their first full-time executive director.

These numbers aren’t a reflection of one person, they’re a reflection of a community that believes in showing up for what matters most. Donors, nonprofits, board members, volunteers, businesses, and community partners all play a part in this growth.

It’s been incredible to watch the momentum continue building and to see how much good can happen when people care deeply about the future of Clay County.

We’re just getting started and have two full years left of the Patterson Family Foundation Capacity Building Grant (CBG). This opportunity wouldn't be possible without their generosity and support to rural Kansas!

Families, don't forget that this service is available to ALL 1-18 year olds. This crew does an amazing job feeding kids!

If you missed us last weekend, then you're in luck! We will be back at the farmers market this Saturday. Come by and buy a quilt block or raffle tickets.

We are excited to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation through "The Heartbeat of Freedom." Our story is set in the 12 years leading up to the declaring of our independence on July 4, 1776. You will experience the lives of the colonists living in Boston: the dock workers, women who worked tirelessly to provide the colony's needs, key players in rallying the cause - John Dickerson (Founding Father and "Penman of the Revolution"), Benjamin Eades (owner of the Boston Gazette and a leader of the Sons of Liberty.) And yes, there will be spies among us! Mark your calendars and join us as we step back in history and move forward as a nation!
