Why God and Wrestling Go Together

People ask why so many wrestlers find God.

Simple.

Because wrestling humbles you.

There is no hiding in this sport.
No teammates to blame.
No refs to save you.

Just you.

And the truth.

Christianity starts the same way.

It starts with honesty.

“I’m not perfect.”
“I don’t have it all figured out.”
“I need help.”

Wrestling teaches you discipline.
Faith teaches you direction.

Discipline without direction is dangerous.

You can grind yourself into the ground chasing the wrong thing.

I’ve trained with killers.
State champs.
National champs.

And some of them were still lost.

Because success does not fix your soul.

Wrestling teaches you to suffer.
Faith teaches you why suffering matters.

When you understand that pain has purpose…
You stop running from it.

You lean into it.

That’s why some of the most dangerous wrestlers are men of faith.

They’re not afraid to lose.
Because they already know who they are.

And when you’re not wrestling for approval…
You wrestle free.

With a great deal of consideration and planning, BWA will be moving facilities starting June 4, 2018. We will be consolidating at the BCAA facility at 1010 Progress Dr, Clarksville TN 37040. You can expect the BWA schedule to be released within the next week. We understand that for some the location change will be an inconvience and others more suitable. Our intent is to bring the best wrestling experience to our Warriors. Consolidation at the BCAA facility will provide more flexibility and opportunity to our wrestlers. We encourage you to move with us and to those who have debated on joining, June will be a great time to do so entering our 3 month block of off season training will bring a lot of conditioning and funamentals. Lastly, all of the BWA staff would like to give a heartfelt hand of gratitude and thank you To Chris Barnett Christopher Sleigh Barnett for allowing BWA to use his facility to get our program up and going. It is rare to come across an individual with Chris’s generosity. He has been a tremendous help in laying our foundation.
