“Live in the Green.”

No, not some phrase to entice you to follow God’s own, the Green Bay Packers.

Although that would give you more lifetime happiness.

I’m talking about the phrases we have come to use in America to describe wealth. We hear “in the RED,” which means a company is not yet profitable, normally in the 1st 5 years after start-up. Or “in the BLACK,” which is profitable. And it’s only measured by expenses or costs and revenue income. People are DEPENDENT on money then, to be happy. As if some external thing could make us happy; for a time, we may feel in fact, happy, conditionally, if we remain financially profitable or for non-business owners, have more income than expenses.

And in that assessment, don’t we give away our value, or worth, to an EXTERNAL factor?

It could be said this is a simple but SAD way to DECIDE to be in this world, actually, because it is choosing to BE in SCARCITY. The heart ❤️ in this decision is cutting away any opportunity to experience real JOY because it’s fixated on happiness.

I’m introducing a new term today, on Thanksgiving 2025, to DECIDE instead to “live in the give it away,” also known as “Live in the GREEN!” Beyond the red line we discussed above, give away TIME, TALENT, and TREASURE ($) to those who can never repay you, and, tell them not to tell anybody about you. Tell them not to pay you back ! And do not demand it back either, because that is NOT giving it away, that my friend is called a loan, and the borrower is slave to the lender. So again, Stevie Wonder can see what I’m saying here is IF you are finally “tired Miss Hilly!” [ The Help reference ] of desiring happiness and always find that MORE never arrives, ever, then try this new thing.
