CARNEY EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT UPDATE: We are happy to announce the completion of the restoration work at the Clarksville Fine Arts Center! A big 'THANK YOU' to all of the volunteers that came out to assist with the work, and to all of the donors who contributed to the funds for supplies to make this possible.

Shout out to the following local businesses for their help & support:

Our two one-act plays both have roles for offstage voices, and we want to acknowledge these members for their commitment to many hours of rehearsals in lending their voice to these very interesting comedies. In an effort not to give too much away, we’d also like to share a photo (without naming their roles) of Michael Doan and Dinnis King in THE POTMAN SPOKE SOOTH – these two expand the range of this one-act in an unforeseen way. Let’s just say, you’ll have to buy a ticket to see how they end up in the story.🎟️

Before the actors take the stage, there is a lot of behind-the-scenes activity: set design, the securement of props, costume design and acquisition, and publicity plans. And on the night of the show, key crew members will supplement the storytelling and help the show go on! DNP salutes this cadre of folks supporting our two one-acts.

First our Directors: Monica Walter and Leslie Pipan; Lights: Greg Pipan; Sound: Ken Nikolaisen; Makeup artist: Reagan-Lynne Elliott; Stage Manager & Publicist: Holly Stadtler; Stage crew: Steve Downing, Betty Jack Ligon, Maverick Valdes (spotlight also); Costumers: Linda Jurczyk and Monica Walter; Set Designers: Gary Walter, Steve Downing and Dave Greer; Props Manager: Monica Walter; and Playbill & Headshots: Valerie Garrison.

We are also grateful that other DNP will be ushering, helping at the box office and concessions, and we delight in acknowledging our House Manager, Jackie Lilly, who has taken on this role for over a dozen productions at the Fine Arts Center. The Double Nickel Players had to cast some of our members in double roles to fill all the parts in the two upcoming one-act plays THE POTMAN SPOKE SOOTH and FRANKENSTEIN SLEPT HERE. Charlie Jones has two roles: first in THE POTMAN SPOKE SOOTH, he portrays a policeman and in the second play, he transforms into a monster brought to life by Baroness Frankenstein!! We’re only giving you a peak at the monster though - you’ll have to buy a ticket to see him in the flesh!
