On Sunday, three of our members had the honor of receiving a “Quilt of Valor”. Congratulations to Sal “The Godfather” Cavallo, Rebecca “Wildflower” Gallegos-Barrera and Javier “UNO”Barrera. The Mission of the Quilts of Valor® Foundation is to cover Service Members and Veterans touched by war in comforting and healing Quilts of Valor. The quilts say unequivocally, “Thank you for your service, sacrifice and valor in serving our nation.” 🇺🇸❤️

Hello everyone! I wanted to take some time to share something really close to home. My mother was diagnosed with Lung Cancer a few months back, and she is now getting ready for surgery. So I wanted to share the fundraiser that myself along with some brothers and sisters have been putting together. If anyone would like to assist, donate and help, please get with me.

❤️ STAND WITH MY MOTHER — HELP US FIGHT CANCER TOGETHER ❤️

There are moments in life when you realize you can’t do everything on your own. This is one of those moments for our family.

My mom, Angelica, is facing cancer and preparing for surgery. She is strong, she is loved, and she is fighting — but this journey is one that no one should have to face alone. 🙏❤️

As her son and an Army Veteran, I’ve learned what it means to stand beside the people you love, especially when times get hard. I’ve served alongside others, knowing that we are stronger when we stand together.
Now, I’m asking our family, friends, veterans, neighbors, and community to stand with us for my mom. 🇺🇸❤️

This isn’t just a fundraiser.
This is about helping my mom get through one of the hardest battles of her life.
Cancer brings more than doctors, treatments, and surgery. It brings expenses, uncertainty, stress, and challenges that families often never see coming.
That’s where we’re asking for your help.

Every dollar raised will help my mom with the expenses surrounding her cancer surgery, recovery, and this difficult journey.

On the 25th Anniversary of the terrorist attacks on 9/11, we remember the heroes who stepped up in extraordinary ways. The ones who showed kindness to their fellow man, the ones who were brave in the face of danger. And we remember the heroes wore the uniform, at home and overseas. For the past few months, our Veteran Assistance Coordinator has been working with a veteran and his wife to help them get through a difficult time. He has undergone several surgeries, and his wife has become his full-time caregiver. They are currently living in an RV that had several maintenance issues. There were significant leaks in the sink and toilet, and the shower was unusable due to the shower pan falling apart. Our chapter members did some pest control and minor repairs on the RV, but the plumbing issues were beyond our internal capabilities. We partnered with Elkins Mobile RV Repair to have the major issues resolved. A HUGE shout out to Gabriel and his team, they did an excellent job correcting the issues! The veteran and his wife today are incredibly grateful for the assistance and support we were able to provide.

Not too long ago, a local Veteran reached out to our Chapter for help. One of his big concerns was that his wife is wheelchair bound, and he is disabled as well. He was having a lot of difficulty getting her in and out of the house. He needed a ramp.

Our Chapter partnered with Orgain Building Supply here in Clarksville, who generously donated the materials. We also connected with Trenton Crossings Church, whose team of volunteers built and installed the ramp for this Veteran and his wife. He was incredibly grateful and relieved to have this done!

Not only are we about Vets helping Vets, we are about working with our community. We are proud to partner with such giving organizations. Thank you to everyone involved.

It’s always a great meeting when we get to patch in new members! This past weekend, the Queen City Chapter had the pleasure of patching in 5!! Welcome Home FM Kevin “Buckles” Buckholtz; FM Shaun “Blue” Gorman; FM Rory “Tomorrow” Myers; SM Tonya “Cyanide” Anello; and AUX Delores “Heart” Conley!!
