Thank you so much to Evie Gordon of the Junction for her donation of squash and zucchini to the Clarksville Food Pantry this morning. These delicious vegetables will surely be appreciated by many local families this weekend.

The Lions Club is working with Friends of Occoneechee State Park to develop a sensory trail that could be enjoyed by people that might not usually think they could enjoy a walk in a natural environment.

That could include the blind, hearing impaired, autistic children, those with mobility concerns or anyone looking for a different experience.

As part of that, we want to find out what people in the community feel should be included in that project.

We want to get as many responses as we can so we have a better idea of what best serves our community!

Tonight we were honored to have 2nd Vice District Governor George Thomas visiting, and he did the honors of inducting our newest Lions into the Clarksville pride. Welcome to Lion Dee and Lion Paul!

We also celebrated some of our long time members- Lion Bob has been serving for 10 years, and Lion Jane has been with us for 15 years.

Hip Hip Hooray, it's Chili Day!

Our chef has been up for hours already, stewing up this batch of beef chili with 80 POUNDs of ground beef.

"This is the best chili I've ever tasted" - that one guy last time we made chili (and sold out!)

But don't take his word for it - come on down to the St. Timothy's Parking Lot off of Virginia Avenue in Clarksville, and get your own!
