Clarksville's Lake Country Quilters The art of taking perfectly good fabric, cutting it into little pieces and sewing it back together all in the name of fun! at St. Questions are encouraged.

Clarksville's Lake Country Quilters (LCQ) meets on the third Thursday of each month, September through June, at 6:15 p.m. Timothy's Episcopal Church, located ad 111 Sixth Street in Clarksville. We welcome all quilters regardless of experience. During our meetings, we share our latest projects and either a guest or current member provides a "Program" covering some aspect of quilting. Support is alw

ays available. LCQ creates a raffle quilt as a group, the proceeds of which are donated to a charity. We go on field trips to quilt shops and quilt shows and in addition to the raffle quilt, LCQ engages in at least one charity project a year. LCQ also hosts a local quilt show in the "even" numbered years (i.e., 2024, 2026......). In June we have a picnic and in December we have a Holiday celebration. So, come out and meet the group and share your tips or learn a new skill. Dues are only $20 a year. We look forward to meeting you.

Today, LCQ presented Jennifer Bowen with Mecklenburg County 4-H (on the left) with a check for $2,125. The monies were generated from the net proceeds of raffle ticket sales for a quilt the group made. Jennifer said the funds will help send ten children to camp!
