Help paint the new public-art crosswalk at Veterans Plaza Sat Oct 24! We will meet at the Crossland Avenue entrance to Veterans Plaza. That entrance will be closed to vehicles during the project, so volunteers should enter and park using the Pageant Lane entrance.

No art or painting experience is needed. Our artists will be there to guide the project and show volunteers what to do. We will need help with painting, preparing the area, carrying supplies, cleanup, and other tasks throughout the morning.

If you have painting supplies you are willing to bring or loan, that would also help us stretch our grant dollars. Useful items include 1/2-inch nap roller covers, roller frames and extension poles, paint trays and liners, stiff synthetic paint brushes in various sizes, clean gallon paint containers, handheld paint pails, 5-gallon bucket pour spouts, roller grids, battery-operated leaf blowers, stiff brooms, rags, and gloves.

Professional painters who are willing to loan equipment that makes working from 5-gallon paint buckets easier would be especially appreciated.

The project will provide the approved traffic paint and will purchase the supplies we need, so please come even if you are not able to donate or bring anything.

Please sign up here so we can keep everyone updated:
