This is the last opportunity for artists to submit ideas for the projects that will transform the Crossland Avenue-Pageant Lane neighborhood. Through grants from AARP and the Tennessee Arts Commission, the Montgomery County Health Foundation and Replant Clarksville are adding original art to 4 crosswalks at entrances to Veterans Plaza and Moore Magnet Elementary School, to 2 traffic signal boxes, and to the wall in front of the county’s Highway Department. AHC is pleased to be partnering on these projects.

Call for Artists: Moore Magnet Elementary School Pedestrian Crosswalks Art Project
The Montgomery County Health Council, in partnership with RePlant Clarksville and the Clarksville Arts & Heritage Council, invites artists and artist teams to submit concepts for a public-art treatment for the two pedestrian crossings at the Pageant Lane entrances to Moore Magnet Elementary School. Successful applications will include ideas of how artists will work with community volunteers to complete the final project.

🎨 Calling all volunteers! Help paint the new public-art crosswalk at Veterans Plaza.

🗓️ Saturday, October 24 at 8:30 a.m.
📍 Meet at the Crossland Avenue entrance (closed to vehicles; park @ Pageant Lane).
☔ Rain Day: Sunday, October 25 at 9:00 a.m.

Volunteers needed for painting, prepping, carrying supplies, and cleanup. No art or painting experience needed. Supply donations welcome, but not required. Wear close-toe shoes and old clothes.
