Just a few more days until you Conquer Emerald Hill!
Here are a few things to know as you prepare for Saturday:

Packet Pickup Date & Time:
October 9, 2026 8:00am CDT - October 9, 2026 6:00pm CDT
Race Day Packet Pickup Time:
7:00am CDT - 8:30am CDT
Virtual Participants:
You may pick up your packet during packet pick up, or it will be mailed to you next week to the address provided on your registration.
Race Day Schedule:
7 a.m. Registration Opens
8 a.m. Opening Ceremony & Valerie Hunter-Kelly Run/Walk for the Govs 1K Starts
8:30 a.m. Run for Govs 5K Starts (5K Certified Course USATF No. TN21012MS)
9:30 a.m. Awards Ceremony (Awards will be presented to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place male & female runners. Cash prizes will be presented to non-APSU students; scholarships will be presented to current APSU students)
Cancellation Policy:
As a reminder, all sales are final, and there are no refunds for any reason, including cancellation due to weather. In the event of cancellation, in-person races will be moved to virtual.
We are monitoring the weather as well as other activities happening in Clarksville on Saturday. The Run For Govs is moving forward as scheduled. We will continue to monitor and share an additional update tomorrow. You can check back here for updates.
Race Day Parking:
Priority Parking: If you reserved priority parking on your registration, you will park in LOT 67, located directly behind the Pace Alumni Center, just steps from check-in & the finish line.
General Parking | Free: The following lots are free & available on a first-come, first-served basis:
• Emerald Hill Apartments & Two River Apartments: LOT 13
• Robb Avenue Street Parking
• Dunn Center: LOTS 3, 51, 2
• Any other lot or street parking on campus not reserved for other events
*PLEASE NOTE: The North Second Street gate & Patrick/Kraft Street gate will be closed temporarily from the START of the 1K through the END of the 5k, meaning there is no entry/exit in these lots from 7:50-8:40 am.
Football Game Tickets:
If you requested complimentary game tickets on your registration, they will be printed and placed inside your packet.
Game Information: APSU VS. Tarleton State @ 6 p.m. | Fortera Stadium
Tailgate Alley will open EARLY at 10:00 a.m. for all 1k/5k participants!
Make an Impact - SOLES 4 SOULS SHOE DRIVE
We are happy to partner with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) in support of their service project.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Austin Peay is partnering with Soles4Souls to collect gently worn and new shoes that can be given a second life and help support communities in need. We are asking students, staff, and faculty. alumni, and community members to donate shoes that are still in good condition.
Please make sure the shoes are clean, dry, and paired together before donating.
How to Donate:
-Bring your gently worn or new shoes to our designated collection table at the race
-Tie or secure shoes together as a pair
