The BLOOM Project

The BLOOM Project Our mission is to spread joy, encourage hope, and connect our community through repurposed flowers.

Our volunteers will work to collect donated flowers from weddings, special events, and area floral suppliers. These flowers will be repurposed into arrangements that will then be delivered, along with a note of encouragement, to those in area senior living communities, hospice care, shelters and other community agencies. The BLOOM Project is a 501 (c)(3) organization and is entirely donation based

and volunteer run. Join us by donating flowers, vases, supplies, and/or your time and talent! For more information, message us here on Facebook or send an email to [email protected]. We are so thankful to groups like the Acts of Service Ministry at The Movement Church who help to support the mission of The Bloom Project! Their group made cards and collected vases! These donated items are so important for us and will be used quickly to help spread joy and smiles to others in our community. Thank you The Movement Church!

We have had an incredible past few days repurposing the flowers from APSU's Candlelight Ball! We were able to host two arranging activities - one at Walking Horse Meadows and one at The Waterford. We were also able to make deliveries to Park Meadows and The Villages at the River Club! Approximately 170 people received or made an arrangement over the last two days! The smiles in these pictures tell just a small part of the story of the JOY these flowers bring!! We are so thankful to and to the Candlelight Ball Committee for choosing to spread joy throughout our community in this way!!

We are so thankful to each of our volunteers that help to make the work of The Bloom Project possible! But we always have room for you!!

There are lots of ways to help. . . from night owl pick up of flowers after an event, to making cards, to arranging or delivering flowers, there is a something for everyone!

We do not have a regular schedule as we work when floral donations are received, but typically have times available 3-4 times a month on Saturday night, Sunday afternoon, or Monday or Tuesday morning/afternoon.

Message us if you would like more information or like to be added to our email list!

Join us as we seek to spread joy, encourage hope, and connect our community through repurposing flowers!

Earlier this month we had the privilege to work with the Beta Club at Immaculate Conception School. These students made cards, created some beautiful floral arrangements, and then delivered them to our friends at Dogwood Bend. It was very special to see the students work the Bloom process from start to finish!! They did an amazing job and there were many smiles all around!!!
We loved getting to spend this time with these wonderful students!

The Bloom Project has SO MUCH to be thankful for this week!!

First, we were honored to be a part of Art in Bloom, a fundraising event for the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center that gave local florists the opportunity to interpret a piece of art through flowers. All of the works were STUNNING! We are lucky to have such talented florists in our community! Our Bloom volunteers, Kelly and Jenny, did an amazing job on their arrangements!! It was such a joy to be a part of this event!

And. . . . after Art in Bloom, the flowers were donated to The Bloom Project for us to repurpose!!! We had several volunteers who had such a wonderful time working with these beautiful flowers to create arrangements to spread joy in our community. We were able to make deliveries to The Waterford, Fieldstone, The Gathering Place, Safe House and Judy's Hope with the arrangements made from these event flowers!!!!

We know these flowers brought so many smiles!!!

And so, to the florists, to The Customs House Museum and the Museum Guild, and to our volunteers - THANK YOU!

Sorry I can't tag everyone!

We had the privilege of working with the Chi Omega chapter at APSU to do the sweetest Valentine's Day delivery to our friends at Spring Meadows! The chapter members made the cutest cards and tied them to single flowers with colorful ribbon. They then delivered them to the residents and brought some beautiful smiles! Thank you to for donating the flowers and to the women of Chi Omega for serving our community well! 🌸❤️
