Asotin County Food Bank

Asotin County Food Bank Donation based, volunteer operated food bank. Distribution to Washington residents only. Service every 30 days. Action Council from Walla Walla.

Our volunteers stock our shelves with a variety of food items donated from local individuals, food drives, and businesses. Also, we receive food each month from 2nd Harvest out of Spokane and Blue Mt. Monetary donations are always welcomed and necessary. We thank the many organizations and individuals that faithfully give and support us so we can serve our Asotin County residents.

As a reminder, the food put out on the deck is for Washington residents only. Apparently some misinformation has been circulating on Facebook that the food is also for Idaho residents.

People Who Care! Last Sunday Our Saviour's Lutheran Church hosted a wonderful piano-organ concert. Jon and Mark, two very accomplished musicians played and sang many beautiful songs of hope and inspiration.

The concert raised $3,217 for the Back Pack Program which provides weekend food pouches to 228 Asotin County children each week during the school year. That will be over 580 bags of backpack food.

What an awesome effort. What a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

People Who Care. For the second year in a row the Innovia Foundation has supported our BackPack Program. With a mission of caring for people in so many ways, Innovia is providing $15,000 to buy food for the bags that 228 children in Clarkston and Asotin Elementary Schools take home each Friday during the school year. This food helps carry them through the weekend. and they come back to school on Monday ready to learn.

Each weekly bag costs about $6 and includes, two entries, milk, yogurt, juices, cereals and at least four snacks.

Thank you, Innovia Foundation, for continuing your tradition of caring for so many.

People Who Care. The BackPack program just received news that the NezPerce Tribe will donate $7500 to help buy the food for the 228 children who will receive bags of food each week during the 2026-2027 school year.

The NezPerce Tribe is a long-time supporter of providing food to those in need at the Food Bank.

People who care surround us and we are thankful.

People Who Care. Our Saviour's Lutheran Church on 13th in Clarkston is opening its doors again on Sunday, August 2 at 2:00 to host a beautiful concert to help the Asotin County Food Bank's BackPack Program.

Last year they had a full house raising several thousand dollars for the program. The concert is presented by Mark and Jon, a pianist and organist, who will fill the air with heartwarming music sprinkled with wonderful dialogue between the two of them.

What a wonderful, relaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The concert is free but a donation plate will be passed.
