Harrison County Deputy Sheriff's Association

The Harrison County Deputy Sheriff’s Association consists of all current and retired Deputy Sheriff’s in Harrison County. We are a non profit organization.

We are a non profit organization that is entirely funded by donations from local businesses and citizens of Harrison County. The Harrison County Deputy Sheriff’s Association is governed by a Board of Directors, a President, a Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary all elected from the members. None of these people receive any monetary compensation for being in the position that they hold. The don

ations that we receive are used to maintain the organization in as much as paying bills and maintaining our firing range which we allow other local Law Enforcement to train on as well as the citizens of Harrison County. But that is just a small part of it. The rest of the donations that we receive are used to help the children of Harrison County as well as those in need. The Harrison County Deputy Sheriff’s Association provides funds to local youth sports teams, local schools, and other local youth organizations such as the Civil Air Patrol. We also provide funds to those who suddenly find themselves in need. We donate money to those who have suffered a sudden tragedy such as a fire or serious medical emergency. And of course there is the Shop with a Deputy Program that we conduct each year around Christmas. As well as local charities, we provide funds to Children’s Hospital and Special Olympics and other worthy groups.

We are sadden to hear of the passing of longtime resident and Law Enforcement Deputy, Sheriff Albert Marano. Albert had over 30 years in Law Enforcement where he served as Chief Deputy for two terms and then eventually Sheriff of Harrison County. Please keep his LE family and his wife and daughters in your thoughts and Prayers at this time.

It's that time of the year again, and we are excited to announce our Shop with a Deputy event. Our office collaborates with 11 Harrison County Schools to select 10 students from each school to go shopping. This year's event will take place at the Clarksburg Walmart on December 14 from 8-12. Without donations, some of these children wouldn't have a Christmas. The Kiwanis Club of Clarksburg has presented the Harrison County Deputy Sheriff's Association with a $1,000 donation, earmarked for our annual Shop with a Deputy Program. We appreciate their kindness and generosity.
