The Change Initiative WV The Change Initiative is the creator of women's recovery house, The Phoenix Recovery House. Recovery doesn’t end after a 28 day treatment program.

Here at The Change Initiative, we take our roles as Change Agents seriously. We choose to be advocates for those who don’t have their own voice, and we strive to align such individuals with the resources to improve their lives. We believe it takes a village to make a change and bring a community together, so we value the opinions of everyone and believe there is no one way to make a change. We recognize the importance of teamwork and that accountability is required in order to be effective Change Agents. The Change Initiative is committed to being an inclusive community by honoring our diverse strengths and needs and working with people regardless of their socio-economic background, sobriety, or situation. We are the proud creators and leaders of The Phoenix Recovery House, a women's recovery home in WV. That’s when the work begins. The Change Initiative has developed The Phoenix Recovery House, a sober living home for women. Our 12 month program not only focuses on recovery but on empowering women. The Phoenix Recovery Plan utilizes the foundation of AA and adds life skills classes, job readiness, and community involvement. Our house case manager works with each woman to develop an individualized plan that focuses on treatment plans, goal setting, and a relapse plan. When a woman leaves our program they will have the confidence and skills needed to be a productive and successful member of their community.

Hello everyone! We have a new resident who recently came to us after being incarcerated and is starting over with absolutely nothing.
If you have any gently used clothing, personal hygiene items, or other basic essentials you're willing to donate, we would be incredibly grateful!
