The previous post shares the obituary for Gerry Simon. She was a Sacred Heart Children’s Center orphan. We thank her family for requesting memorial contributions be made to Sacred Heart ❤️

We are so grateful, as it helps us in our mission to serve the needs of Harrison County children. 🏃‍♀️ 🕺 🏃🚶🏽‍♂️

At this month’s board meeting we approved grants for $10,000 expected to benefit approximately 460 children! 😊

🏫 School is back in session 🚌
One of our grants helped the Salem Elementary Kindergarten class write the book “Saving Atlas”, about their experience with a rescued kitten.

The teachers, Jan Phillips and Megan Bragg, attended our last board meeting to share the story and result. Thank you!

The Board meeting is this Wednesday March 1st!
Here is one of our amazing Board members, Shannon Ruggieri, shown here teaching a sign language class at Clarksburg Public Library. The library has often been one of our grant recipients for great programs they have for Harrison Co. youths.
I highly recommend Shannon’s class. It is open to adults and youths. See it and other offerings on the websites for local libraries.

Our annual meeting with the Corporation is tomorrow, Sept. 7 at 4:15 pm in the PWA meeting room.

The Board had a very distanced meeting this week, for the first time in awhile due to COVID. About 15 of us, spread out, voted on grants to help a lot of Harrison Co. children 🏃‍♀️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️🏃‍♂️
