This week, Rocky Hill Middle School will hold PTSA elections for the 2026–27 school year, and we want to reach out to our RHMS families with a simple but important message: it is not too late to get involved. Join us for the PTSA Board Election Meeting this Thursday, May 14th at 7 pm via Zoom (login information below) to help us elect the PTSA Board for next year.
A strong PTSA plays a meaningful role in supporting school events, family engagement, and the sense of community our students experience every day. As we look ahead to next year, our goal is to build a full, supported PTSA Board so this work is shared and sustainable.
We are currently seeking volunteers for the following PTSA Board roles:
President – coordinates the work of the board and supports shared leadership
Treasurer – oversees PTSA finances and ensures responsible financial practices
Secretary – maintains records, meeting minutes, and supports communication
VP of Events – helps plan and coordinate student and community events
VP of Fundraising – supports fundraising efforts that make PTSA programs possible
VP of Membership – focuses on welcoming families and encouraging involvement
VP of Communications – manages newsletters, calendars, and PTSA communications
It is important to share that the PTSA cannot operate at all without a President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Filling these roles, along with the VP positions, allows the PTSA to function in a healthy and sustainable way.
Your experience matters. The skills you use in your career, your volunteer work, or your everyday life—organization, communication, planning, budgeting, coordination, or relationship building—are exactly what help make a PTSA successful.
