Clarksburg High School Alumni Association

Clarksburg High School Alumni Association, a 501c3 organization, has a mission to support CHS student programs financially and through volunteerism.

The alumni association aims to enrich the alumni of Clarksburg High School through professional development, mentorship and reunions events. We welcome donations to support our mission at bit.ly/sponsorCHSalumni. Association membership shall be open to all persons who have shown an active or vital interest in Clarksburg High School and the Alumni Association. Such persons include but are not limit

ed to alumni, honorary alumni, family members of alumni, faculty, and staff of Clarksburg High School, and Clarksburg High School students. Per the Association Bylaws, the Association leadership consists of a Board of Directors, Officers, and an Executive Committee. The CHS Alumni Association is hard at work to help you thrive in this next year. We are going to be providing financial planning workshops from Northwestern Mutual as well as workshops on finding/changing jobs, home buying, getting started with investing and so much more!

1. Join the Alumni Association Board! We need volunteers to make the organization thrive.⁠
2. Volunteer to help with social media! ⁠
3. Encourage your classmates to sign up! Get the word out. ⁠
4. Join the individual and class competition. The class that raises the most money gets 20% toward their next reunion event!⁠

Spread the word! This the Clarksburg High School Alumni Association is hosting individual/team and class competitions to see who can raise the most money to support our alumni community. ⁠
⁠
Specifically, this year, the Alumni Association is raising money to fund the performing arts and music departments and establish a scholarship fund for graduating seniors on behalf of the Alumni Association.⁠
⁠
The class that raises the most money will receive 20% of their class' donations to their next reunion event! Time to get your classmates to give. Every little bit counts :)⁠
⁠
In addition, thanks to generous donations from sponsors, individuals who raise (either on their own or as a team*) can receive the following prizes:

$250 -- a Clarksburg High School hoodie⁠
$500 -- a Clarksburg High School cardigan⁠
$1000 -- a Clarksburg High School blanket and a $25 Amazon Gift Card⁠

Meet our founders!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Sydney Montgomery, Vice-President and Treasurer of Clarksburg Alumni Association, graduated in the great Class of 2011. After Clarksburg, Sydney attended Princeton University where she majored in English and received a Frech Certificate before attending Harvard Law School. After clerking for a judge on the Montgomery County Circuit Court and practicing private family law litigation in Bethesda, Maryland, Sydney pivoted to educational consulting full-time, becoming the CEO of S. Montgomery Admissions Consulting. Sydney specializes in helping first-generation and minority college and law school applicants and works to dismantle systemic racism in education, pushing counselors and universities to be culturally competent through published articles and speaking engagements. Sydney was named the 2018 Clarksburg High School Commencement Speaker, a 2021 Counselor of the Year (PCACAC), Kappa Alpha Theta 35 Under 35, Women's eNews 21 Leaders of the 21st Century, and has been featured in CTV News, Medium, and CNBC among others.

Meet our founders!⁣
⁣
Nikita Mutter, President and Secretary of Clarksburg High School Alumni Association, graduated from Clarksburg High School in 2011. Nikita attended the University of Delaware following her time at CHS and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy (Public and Nonprofit Administration). Nikita has worked in healthcare, focusing on gerontology and senior living, since 2016 in both home care settings and assisted living settings. She is currently the Director of Sales at an assisted living facility in Rockville, MD. Nikita is continuing her education at the University of Maryland where she is studying Healthcare Management.
