Good Afternoon Ladies & Gentleman,
As many of you know, Tentaroo as a whole is closing. Therefore, we have switched to a new system called MyCouncil. As of this week, our updated website went live, which means things look a bit different on our website than usual. Here are a few things to note with this change.
Attached is a document that will walk you through creating an account. This account can be used to register for events. Please feel free to share this document as far and wide as needed.
The best way to register for an upcoming event is by visiting the Council Calendar from the website. All of the District, Council, Training, and more events are all listed there. You can view the events and register from the Council Calendar. There is also a list of upcoming events towards the bottom of the homepage too!
We ask that everyone remains patient as we learn about this new system. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have.

The new BeAScout experience is now live, making it easier for prospective families to find the right Scouting unit and get the information they need before reaching out.

Unfortunately, only about 10% of our units have updated their Unit Pin with the new information. If your unit hasn't done so yet, now is the time!

Families are looking for details such as:

• Whether fundraising helps cover costs
• Whether they're encouraged to attend a trial meeting
• Any unit-specific fees
• Your meeting schedule, including frequency, day, and times

A complete and accurate Unit Pin helps families make informed decisions and can make the difference between a youth joining your unit or moving on to another opportunity.

Please take a few minutes to update your Unit Pin in Organization Manager today.

Every new Scout starts with finding a unit, and your information is often their first impression.

🚨 Important Training Update for All Scouting America Volunteers 🚨If your Youth Protection Training (YPT) expired on May 31, your training status is now expired and must be renewed under the new Safeguarding Youth Training requirements.
✅ To regain your trained status, you must complete the FULL 90-minute Safeguarding Youth Training course in my.scouting.org.
⚠️ Do NOT take the 20-minute Safeguarding Youth Refresher course.
The refresher is only for volunteers who have already completed the new 90-minute Safeguarding Youth Training. Taking the refresher now will NOT restore your trained status.
How to Renew:
Log in to my.scouting.org
Select the Safeguarding Youth icon
Enroll in the 90-minute Safeguarding Youth Training course
Complete all modules and pass the course assessment
Thank you for helping maintain a safe environment for every Scout. Please complete your training as soon as possible to avoid interruptions to your volunteer registration and participation.
