Anglers can fish from kayaks, canoes or other boats as long as they are paddle powered, no motors. Anglers are also eligible to fish from the bank at any tournament where possible. Take a Kid Fishing! This event is open to any under 18 youth. All you need is f
ishing gear, a digital camera or phone, and a measuring board. Youth can fish from the bank, via kayak, canoe or other nonmotorized boat. How Do CPR Tournaments Work? CPR is a Catch, Photo Release format. Junior Anglers will do their best to catch 3 fish during the course of the day. Whenever they catch a fish, they then take a photo of the fish on a measuring board with the identifier in view. The fishes can be open or closed mouth, but make sure they’re touching the end of the board, that your identifier is in view, and that the end of the tail is in clear view. You can also write the identifier on your hand with a sharpie if you choose to make it easier. If we can’t see clearly, the fishes cannot be logged. In the event of a tie, biggest fish will be used. Safety on the Water
All anglers must be attentive to safety while on the water. In the event of a thunderstorm with lightening, all anglers will be required to return to the shore. It is also important anglers to be aware of boat traffic, as this is a public lake. A personal floatation device must be worn at all times. Anglers should also have a safety flag, and light for use in low light, low visibility conditions. This season we will offer prizes for 1-3 and Big Fish in a Teen and Pr***en Division. You must be 18 or under as of Jan 1st 2017 to qualify for the Teen Division and 12 and under to qualify for the Pr***en Division. If a Pr***en can win both Teen and Pr***en Prize Pools at any and all events.
