Pupdate: The owners of these beautiful babies have been found! ❤️ We’d also like to extend a special thank-you to the young man whose name we didn’t get. He put his own safety aside to help keep these two dogs safe until help could arrive. Acts of kindness like that make a real difference, and we’re incredibly grateful for his compassion and quick thinking.

These sweet dogs were found wandering in Camp Verde and are safe for now, but we’d love to get them back home where they belong.

😎 Jax insisted on showing off his laser treatment shades today… and honestly, we can’t blame him.

Looking this cool should have earned him a foster or forever home by now, but somehow this handsome guy is still waiting.

Jax is proof that healing, resilience, and a little bit of swagger can all come in one package. He’s got the shades, the smile, and the charm. Now all he needs is a couch to call his own and someone to share his adventures with.

🤎 Happy Updates from Kuma! 🤎

Some rescues stay with you forever, and Kuma is one of those very special dogs.

Kuma has been in and out of the life of our Board President, Savahna, given her extensive history with our local rescue organizations. Because of that connection, Savahna was immediately alerted when Kuma found herself in a heartbreaking situation. She was spending her days tied up outside in the heat and cold, with a lead so short she barely had room to lie down comfortably.

When the opportunity came to help, Savahna didn’t hesitate.

Kuma spent months in foster care with Savahna and her family, who played an integral role in her journey. They provided safety, stability, love, and patience while helping her learn that the world could be a much kinder place than she had previously known.

Today, we’re thrilled to share the ending every rescue hopes for.

Kuma has found an absolutely wonderful home with an adopter who adores her. Even better, she now has a new canine sister and a family of her very own. 🐾❤️

Watching dogs like Kuma go from surviving to truly thriving is why we do what we do. Her journey wasn’t always easy, but every step led her exactly where she was meant to be.

Thank you to everyone who played a role in helping Kuma along the way, especially Savahna and her family for opening their hearts and home when Kuma needed it most.

Enjoy your new life, sweet girl. You deserve every bit of happiness that comes your way. 🤎

🐾 Grant Funding at Work: Meet Tinker! 🐾

Tinker recently received the leg surgery she needed thanks to community-funded grant support through our Safety Paws program!

While Tinker isn’t a Whisker’s Way rescue dog, helping pets stay healthy and remain with the families who love them is an important part of our mission. Through grant funding, we are able to assist community members facing unexpected veterinary expenses and help ensure that beloved pets receive the care they need.

Tinker’s surgery is a wonderful example of what can happen when communities come together to support both animals and the people who care for them. Because of this funding, Tinker is now on the road to recovery and has a brighter, more comfortable future ahead.

We are incredibly grateful to the grant providers and supporters who make assistance like this possible. Your generosity has a direct impact on animals and families right here in our community.

🚨 FOSTER NEEDED FOR JAX 🚨

Jax is urgently looking for a foster home.

Jax is a 3-year-old rescued mixed breed with a gentle soul and a heart of gold. He is wonderful with dogs, cats, and children, and loves having another playful companion around. Despite a difficult start in life, including recovering from a hip injury treated with PRP therapy, Jax has made an incredible comeback and now runs and zoomies like the best of them.

He’s a sensitive, loving boy who enjoys morning walks, evening park adventures, and long naps during the day. More than anything, Jax just needs a calm, caring place to land while he continues his journey toward a forever home.

Meet Jax! Jax is a 3-year-old rescued mixed breed who loves meeting other dogs and is looking for a gentle, loving home with another playful household companion. He sleeps a lot during the day and currently enjoys morning walks and early evening park/playtime adventures with his foster.

When Jax was rescued, he had a hip that was out of socket, which was successfully treated with PRP therapy by our amazing vet. Now he can run and zoomie with the best of them!

He is a gentle, sensitive soul who has come such a long way in overcoming his timidness. This boy is truly special, and we’re willing to travel wherever needed for the right meet and greet.
