It is with a heavy heart, but a deep sense of gratitude, that we share the passing of a truly remarkable member of the Country Pantry family, Walt Jury.

Walt and his wonderful wife, Peggy, volunteered with us for years in every capacity imaginable. He was a man of immense integrity, but what many will remember most is the time and care he took with the veterans who came downstairs to pick up food. He made sure they felt seen, respected, and supported.

Even when Walt and Peggy stopped volunteering on-site, their dedication never wavered. Every month, we would deliver hundreds of envelopes and Stewart's Shops milk and egg cards to their home, and they would hand-stuff them all so our clients could receive them.

Walt loved his country, adored Peggy, and cherished his family above all else. It is hard to imagine the world without him, but we know it is a significantly better place because he was in it.

Please join us in keeping Peggy and the entire Jury family in your thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace, Walt. You will be deeply missed. 🕊️❤️
