🥶🏕️ Service, Leadership & Scouting Fun! 🏕️

Clarion Troop 51 had a great time helping at Webelos Weekend! Our Scouts stepped up to teach at activity stations and took the lead in conducting the Scouts’ Own service on Sunday. We’re proud to see our Scouts sharing their knowledge, demonstrating leadership, and helping younger Scouts experience all that Scouting has to offer

The mornings and nights were definitely COLD, but that didn’t stop us from making great memories and having a fantastic weekend! 🔥⛺

A big thank-you to everyone who helped make the weekend a success!

We’re back to our school year meetings—field uniforms and inside! The scouts planned activities around flags, while the scout leaders helped a few scouts meet rank requirements and store gear properly. Millie also made her rounds with her scouts.

At this week’s meeting, our Scouts put their communication and knowledge to the test with a Merit Badge guessing game, describing patch designs to their teammates to identify each badge.
They also got hands-on experience mastering lashing techniques....while 20 of our Scouts focused on meal planning for the upcoming Monster Mash Campout! 🎃🏕️

Troop 51’s 3rd annual summer cook-off was more relaxed this year: no judges, surprise ingredients, set cooking methods, or required dishes—just fun and good food.

Patrols chose their menus, gathered ingredients, and put their plans into action tonight. They made apple crisp with ice cream and caramel sauce, chicken Alfredo, spaghetti with meat sauce, cherry-pineapple dump cake, blueberry pancakes with maple syrup and whipped cream, and vanilla cake. Cooking with Dutch ovens and stoves, everyone enjoyed the meal and went back for seconds!

“ Be prepared" is the Scout motto, and these Scouts are preparing for their futures!

What an incredible weekend! Our Scouts dived headfirst into the world of Search and Rescue, gaining hands-on skills, working through challenging scenarios, and earning their Search and Rescue merit badge! 🧭✨

To keep the momentum going, the campsite kitchen was firing on all cylinders—the Scouts whipped up some absolutely delicious homemade soup to fuel their non-stop energy all weekend long. 🍲🔥

Huge thanks to all the leaders, volunteers, and Scouts who made this event such a success. Proud of the dedication, teamwork, and spirit shown by everyone! 🌲🎒 Custaloga Town Scout Reservation
