Congrats to Mallory Keller on her accomplishments in the area of Greenhand Knowledge Test and Adelynn Howell on obtaining the Iowa FFA Degree.

Collaboration was great among these three young men. Facilitators included the Ohio Reporter, Austin. Kentucky State Officer Dawson and Kentucky State Officer Matthew
A great ice breaker to warm them up with some friendly competitive name that tune. The workshop led to showing how connected these youth are by what they love to do and their experiences. It is true you make an impact on every person you meet and we are more connected then you know so it's always worth getting to know someone!

Workshop #1
FFA members had an opportunity to meet their National FFA President, Trey Meyers! Trey did a great job getting everyone engaged. Armando led them into a championship battle of rock, paper, scissors. Then it was time to move into the nit and gritty of understanding overcoming failures. Students had an opportunity to explore mantras and through an activity they created their own. Here are a few to ponder on while you think of your own mantra....

Today, FFA member Ella Chavez attended the Iowa Youth Institute held at Iowa State University. Ella, along with over 380 other students across Iowa, shared their research of a country and how they are affected by food insecurity. They had the opportunity to listen to a stellar welcome panel from Dr. David Cook the Iowa State University President, Mashal Husain, the President of the Global Food Prize, Tom Vilsack and Coach Roger's. Each welcome unique, but with similar messages of calling to ignite change, the power of the community, to be fearless and remember to stay focused and finish what you started.
Thank you Ella for your leadership in the classroom and the community in which you live.
