Thank you to Brothers Market, Clarion, and our incredible community for the amazing "Rounding up" initiative! I'm so grateful for the opportunity to participate in this community process. Because of your generosity, we were able to purchase much-needed grocery items for those in need. This program truly highlights the power of collective action and compassion. It's inspiring to see how a simple act of rounding up can make a significant difference. Thank you again for your kindness and support!

Hi to you all NIFCCN, a volunteering request for you to staff an outreach booth at either the Clarion or Eagle Grove farmers market this Saturday/Aug. 29 through last Saturday o of Sept.

North Iowa Food & Community Care Network is promoting "Share the Garden Bounty" - fresh produce donations from local farmers markets for local food access points.

In 2025, more than 300 lb.s and more than $200 cash were donated through our outreach efforts.
Until recently, produce has been light at markets, but it's coming on strong now.
Just last week we received more than 80 lbs of produce in customer and vendor donations at last week's Clarion Farmers Markets.

We'd like to have a NIFCCN rep at as many Saturday markets in Clarion and Eagle Grove in Sept. as we can.
Those dates and times are:
Aug. 29 - this Saturday
Sept. 5, 12, 19, 26
Both Clarion & Eagle markets run 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.

We have what you need to be successful for this outreach
We will provide you with a trifold table top display (and a card table if you need), a handout with talking points, and can explain the logistics of what to do with donated produce following the market.
