Clarinda Kiwanis' goal is to improve the world, one child and one community at a time. We sponsor a free bike helemt give away to all area 3rd graders and work to promote safe environments were kids can grow happy and healthy. Other projects we sponsor include a Clarinda preschool class, the Braddyville Baseball Program, park cleanups and new equipment purchases, the Easter Egg Hunt, the Lighted C

hristmas Parade, and the annual Poinsettia sale. We meet on the first and third Wednesday of the month at J’s Pizza and Steakhouse. Everyone is welcome to attend to learn more about Kiwanis and what we do. Help your community while meeting new friends and having a fun time!

A heartfelt thank you to Clarinda Kiwanis for their generous $500 donation to the Clarinda Cardinal Fund Challenge. It is especially meaningful to see a local nonprofit organization investing in another important part of our community — the students and future of the Clarinda Community School District. Support like this is a wonderful reminder of how strong our community can be when local organizations come together to support one another.

The Little Library is now open at Kiwanis Park!

A big thank you to the Clarinda Kiwanis Club, Lied Public Library Clarinda, and CPals, and Tatiana Schaapherder for helping make this possible and for their shared commitment to promoting literacy in Clarinda. We are grateful for creating a fun and accessible way for people of all ages to discover, share, and enjoy books in our community.

We are very thankful for our partner Clarinda Regional Health Center and their help with our Kiwanis Bike Helmet giveaway program. For decades, every third grader in the area has received a free bike helmet to keep them safe when riding their bike.
