PSA: There has been questions about why the red hydrants have bags on them.

They are currently out of service but there is no need to worry we have a plan in place for everyone's safety.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to our brothers and sister at Station 5 and to the family of Tom.

It is with profound sadness that the KVFD announces the passing of lifetime member Tom Brinkley. Tom has worn many hats throughout his career in the fire service both locally and throughout the state of Pennsylvania including but not limited to Fire Chief, President of Central District, representative to the PA State Firemens Association, Firemens Relief, and even helped judge fire apparatus during his “spare” time to name just a few. Please help us to offer condolences to his family during this difficult time. There will be a Firemans Funeral and arrangements will be posted once finalized.
