The Clarendon Hills Fire Department will be hosting an American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR class! This class is for those who have never taken BLS before or have an expired BLS certification card.

The BLS Class covers:
☑ Adult, Child, and Infant CPR
☑ Conscious and Unconscious Choking for victims of all ages
☑ Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use and special considerations
☑ Breathing Barriers, Bag Valve Masks, and 2 Rescuer CPR

DATE: Saturday October 24th 2026
TIME: 9am-1pm
COST: $50

Audience: Healthcare providers, nurses, emergency personnel, and students in healthcare programs.

🚒 DAILY SHIFT TRAINING | VEHICLE EXTRICATION

When seconds count, preparation matters.

Today, the Clarendon Hills Fire Department crew focused on vehicle extrication techniques - training to safely and efficiently remove victims trapped inside a vehicle following a serious crash.

The team worked with the Jaws of Life and other specialized rescue equipment, practicing techniques to stabilize vehicles, create access, remove obstacles, and safely extricate patients while protecting them from further injury.

These skills require teamwork, precision, and constant practice. Our firefighters & paramedics train every day so we’re ready to get to work when our community needs us most.
