When we brought Melina to Dr. Gisele Sholler her clinic was about 20 x 30ft. big (my guess). There were 4 beds in it. Options were minimal to almost non existent.

Seeing immediately the need for funds to keep clinic & the research open we began fundraising to help during Melina's treatment. Seeing the statistics in this post and how far we have come are so bittersweet.

Bitter because they weren't available to save Melina but Sweet because we were able to help in some way change the story for other children & their families.

On the weekend of her 4th birthday, Harlow Phillips was diagnosed with neuroblastoma cancer. Led by her dad, Andy, the community of Evansville, WI built a home out of donated materials and labor. Now they're selling it, with all proceeds benefiting the very clinical trial Harlow is currently on - and Harlow is cancer free. ♥

We were thrilled to have a visit today from the board of Milans Miracle Fund Inc... With the incredible support from this team and their supporters our new trial for DIPG is moving forward. The support from this team has funded the lab research needed to design this drug combination and will now make it possible to reach children with DIPG. We are very thankful for their partnership!!!

The fight against childhood cancer got a big bump at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, which welcomed a check for $1 million Monday.

A paper published September 27 in Scientific Reports shows the positive results of a phase II clinical trial using the oral medication DFMO to prevent relapse in children with High Risk Neuroblastoma (HRNB).
