Our hearts are so full of gratitude for the Alford family and Alford's Angels for choosing to support Hope Totes through such a fun and meaningful initiative! 💗🐾 We are especially touched to know that a Hope Tote helped Amanda’s mama feel loved, seen, and supported during her breast cancer journey. 🥹💕 That is exactly why we do what we do- to remind patients and their families that they are not alone during some of life’s hardest moments.
What an adorable way to spread breast cancer awareness while bringing comfort, love, and hope to others!! 🎀 Knowing that 100% of these donations go directly to Hope Totes makes this even more special. 🥹 Thank you for turning pink paws into a little more hope for someone who needs it most. What an incredible night of hope, love, and shining a light for kids fighting cancer. ✨💛

Congratulations to the entire Hope Rises team on an absolutely incredible Shine Gold event, presented by our friends at New Era Cap Foundation! What you created was more than a beautiful night- it was a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together for children and families facing pediatric cancer.

We are so grateful to see this incredible event raising funds and awareness for three organizations doing deeply meaningful work in our community: Liam's Legacy Fund benefiting Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo, Make-A-Wish Western New York, and Riley's Warriors Inc.

Every dollar raised, every person who showed up, and every story shared helps bring more hope to children and families who need it most.

From the beautiful gold glow to the incredible energy in the room, you truly made the night shine. 💛✨

Sometimes hope looks like a tote. Sometimes it looks like a story. And sometimes, it looks like a children’s book being read to a teeny tiny NICU baby.💗

This morning our cofounder, Amy, had the incredible privilege of spending time in the NICU at Sisters of Charity Hospital, reading to some of the tiniest patients and delivering a few Hope Totes to their mamas.

This year’s Read-A-Thon theme was “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” - a beautiful reminder that even the tiniest beginnings can hold the promise of something extraordinary. From tiny caterpillars to beautiful butterflies, every journey unfolds in its own time. 🐛🦋

There is something incredibly sacred and humbling about sitting beside a NICU isolette, turning the pages of a book, and knowing that behind every tiny baby is a family navigating a journey they never imagined they would be on. Hope Totes has always been about reminding patients and caregivers that they are not alone. Today, that reminder came in a few different forms- a story, a tote, a little encouragement, and simply being present.

Hope Totes is so grateful to the incredible team at Sisters for inviting us into this beautiful project. The work they do for these babies and their families is truly inspiring. The compassion, expertise, and love they pour into each family is something special to witness.

Thank you so much for allowing Hope Totes to be a small part of it. 💗

💙 Big thanks to Ingram Micro for sponsoring the majority of the Hope Totes recently gifted to Lindsay Riggs’ Saving Butts Campaign for Colorectal Cancer. Lindsay has since delivered the totes to the colorectal clinic at Roswell Park, putting them directly into the hands of patients who need them. 💙

At the end of August, Hope Totes was also proud to join Lindsay at the Get Your Rear in Gear 5K- an event she organized in collaboration with the Colon Cancer Coalition. At our booth, we shared information about how Hope Totes can support CRC patients and caregivers. Nearly $25,000 was raised, but just as importantly, so much awareness was spread. 💙

The message was loud and clear: Get your butt checked! Schedule your colonoscopy!! 💙🎗️🍑

And once again, we are SO grateful for our partnerships and the generosity that makes these totes possible. Thank you Ingram Micro for your donation, New Era Cap Foundation for hosting our tote packing party, as well as Lindsay Riggs and Roswell Park for helping us show up for patients and their families when they need it most. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to the Buffalo Sabres Foundation for sponsoring 20 Hope Totes that were recently packed by the amazing team at New Era Cap HQ and donated to Kevin Guest House (KGH). 💗

Since gifting the totes, we received a special message from KGH’s awesome House Manager, Jeff. He shared, “a couple from Canada checked in to KGH for what they expect to be a minimum of 31 days. The husband is the patient and will be receiving CAR-T therapy for Multiple Myeloma. They were thrilled to receive a Hope Tote, and, as an added, coincidental bonus, the caregiver’s outfit matched the tote! They were truly appreciative.”

We’re so grateful for our partnerships and the ripple effect of generosity that makes these totes possible. Thank you for helping us show up for families when they need it most. 💗

500 totes. So many lives touched. 💗

Our recent packing party at New Era Cap HQ with the New Era Cap Foundation was so much more than the 500 totes packed- it was a powerful community effort to show up for patients and caregivers across Western New York.

These totes are now being shared through Kaleida Health (Golisano Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Buffalo General Hospital, and Kaleida Cancer Care), Sisters Hospital, Horizon Health Services, BestSelf, Kevin Guest House, Hospice & Palliative Care Buffalo, Hope Rises, Buffalovebirds’ Saving Butts Campaign, Sweet Buffalo, and the Buffalo VA Hospital, with a cohort also reserved for home delivery requests.

Behind every tote is a patient or caregiver facing their worst day. And because of this incredible community, they won’t have to face it without a little hope. 💗

There are no words big enough to thank the New Era Cap Foundation and the incredible employees of New Era Cap for spending today helping us pack 500 Hope Totes. Your continued belief in our mission means more than you know! Thank you for helping us make hope tangible. 💗

Hope Totes were gifted to: Kaleida Health (Golisano Children’s Hospital, Buffalo General Hospital, Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, and Kaleida Cancer Care), Sister’s Hospital, Horizon Health Services, Best Self Behavioral Health, Kevin Guest House, Hospice, Hope Rises, Sweet Buffalo, Buffalovebirds for the Saving Butts Campaign, and the VA Hospital. We also packed totes for home deliveries.
