Thank You! Mulțumim!

So…today is the day! This is a bittersweet time for us, but it is overdue. After almost 13 years, Crossroads Compassion Project finds ourselves at our own Crossroads. After much prayer and wise counsel, we have made a very significant decision and we are ready to take it to the next level.

I am pleased to announce that effective 1/1/2025, Crossroads Compassion Project will transition and combine our efforts with Village to Village, based in Harrisonburg, VA.

Village to Village has been a faithful ministry partner for several years. They have been actively helping us serve some incredible young people over the years.

I have been asked to join their Board of Directors and will continue to serve, under their leadership, in Europe. We will be serving the same people in the same places, but with a different logo. I am here to tell you, they are the real deal!

I would like to invite all of you to make this transition with us. I encourage you to continue pray and to give so this work can continue. We are excited at what God is going to do and where He is going to take this work under the leadership of Village to Village.

This is a difficult season in Moldova. Winters are especially challenging and expenses remain extremely high due to the war in Ukraine. In the last 2 days, it was announced that Russia’s Gazprom will stop supplying gas to Moldova. It looks like things may get worse before they get better. We need your support now, more than ever!

On behalf of myself and the Big Family, I want to thank you for all the love, prayers, encouragement and support over the years. We couldn’t have done it without you!

So…This day is definitely the highlight of September for us. Today we celebrate the life of our dear Adriana! This amazing lady is a beautiful soul. She is a smart, strong, intelligent woman. She is a loyal, devoted friend and wise beyond her years. Her culinary skills are unmatched by anyone her age…this lady can cook!! And they just keep coming!! So today we are celebrating the life of a very special young man. Alin is the firstborn son of Ion and Alina. This young man is something special! At his young age he has made many personal sacrifices to further the work of Crossroads Compassion Project. Alin is kind, inteligent, has big heart, is a good student and a very skilled athlete. He is respectful, mature, wise and now…much taller than his mother! He is also an amazing translator! We are grateful for the young man that Alin has become. God is SO GOOD!! We have a few more major milestones to celebrate. We are so proud and happy for Adriana, Lia and Mihaela! These ladies have worked so hard to reach these milestones in their lives. Valeria is good student and a young lady of fine character. She is mature and wise beyond her years. Sometimes she is quiet, but when she speaks, you need to listen. She cooks well too! Valeria has been an awesome addition to the Big Family.

We are having a major celebration in Moldova right now. Today was the celebration of the Last Bell in Moldova. We are so proud of our young people who reached a major milestone in their lives. This is only half of our graduates, so stay tuned for more!

Aaaaand…We are celebrating yet again! Today we are celebrating with our dear Ana. This is the second time the Big Family has gotten to celebrate with Ana, and what a tremendous blessing she has been to us. Ana is simply a treasure! She is a gifted musician and vocalist. She has a strong work ethic and a personality that lights up a room. Some words that come to mind to describe her are dedicated, determined, focused, talented, kind, compassionate, caring, humble, strong, and wise. This young lady has an amazing future and we are blessed to be on this journey with her at this point in her life.

Well…this just gets more difficult every year. It is not easy to find the words to adequately express what this lady means to us. Just when you think she can’t possibly do more, that is when she seems to take it to the next level.

Alina is an AMAZING leader and example to all of us at Crossroads Compassion Project. Alina “wears many hats”. She is a devoted wife and mother to Ion and the boys. But she is also a mother to many more! Alina has devoted her life to serve others. In addition to being our “Momma Bear”, she is a wise counselor, a leader, a fighter, an advocate, a mentor, a teacher, a doctor, a nurse, a chauffeur, a cook, an administrator, a role model, a talented musician, and a gifted singer, with the voice of an angel. Most importantly, Alina is a true friend. We are incredibly blessed to have her leading at Crossroads Compassion Project and it is not a blessing that we take for granted.
