Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from all of us at I Want To Help Africa! www.iwanttohelpafrica.org

We're all wrapping up the year with last minute gifts and giving. We're doing so with a great deal of thanks for your continuing interest, caring and generosity. Next year will be very busy for I Want To Help Africa, so you'll continue to hear about life-changing projects involving and benefiting our extended African family.

Remember, our Fertilizer project is boosting crop yields for our maize recipients in Zimbabwe.

Remember too, that our Shoe project is benefiting rural African children!

Plus, our clean water project is meeting the needs of Africans in rural and semi-rural areas.

All of these (and many more) important humanitarian goals can be realized only through your generous sponsorship and the support of people like you and your friends. To that end, look on our page more frequently for stories and insights into the lives of these people that you are giving such hope and encouragement to. Their warmth, courage in adversity, and gratitude for life will touch your heart and move you to realize how, with very small effort, you can greatly increase not only their stores of food, but contribute heartily to their dignity, empowerment and self-reliance.

Christmas blessings to you and yours! www.iwanttohelpafrica.org.

Masauso and his playmates need shoes. Will you help them with a $25 donation?

Masauso's parents live in a rural Zambian village. He has never owned a pair of shoes, but his young feet definitely need protection.

None of the kids he plays with have shoes either. Their parents cannot afford them. Some children even use discarded milk cartons as footwear. You can make a huge difference in the lives of these kids!

I Want To Help Africa, Inc, doesn't have the facilities to accept shoes or clothing at this time. Instead, we've partnered with nonprofits that supply used shoes, and local Zambian humanitarians who will distribute the shoes to the youths that you will be helping.

Your donation of $25 will provide shoes for many children.

Sibongile is a widow in Zimbabwe facing severe drought. With the help of people like you, I Want to Help Africa, Inc. gave Sibongile 10,000 corn seeds last week. She and her grandchildren planted all the seeds the very next day. For that crop to feed her family for a year, Sibongile needs fertilizer. Each of her friends needs fertilizer too.

CAN YOU DONATE $35 FOR A BAG OF FERTILIZER? (Sibongile and her friends would be so thankful to you for any donation!)

The photo below shows what Sibongile’s land looks like. You can see why she needs fertilizer so badly. It has already started to rain in Zimbabwe. The corn soon will be sprouting.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO BUY TWO BAGS OF FERTILIZER FOR $70?

One fertilizer bag from you can help feed Sibongile’s family all year. But two bags can help her grow enough corn to also plant next year’s crop AND have a little extra corn left over to sell and buy some essentials.

We have an urgent need! Zimbabwe has experienced a severe drought. It caused total crop failure in many parts of the country. As a result there has been severe hunger and even starvation in that country. Low yields and crop failures resulted in no seeds for this growing season.
With the wonderful news that rains are finally beginning, we want to help them take advantage of this limited time to plant maize (corn) which is a staple of Zimbabwe. We have great Zimbabwean contacts for purchasing the seed and fertilizer to help small-scale farmers, orphanages, and even families, but we need your help.
For more information and how to do that, please visit our website at www.iwanttohelpafrica.org/donate/
Photos show 35 families receiving seed so far and Sophia Muchimbidziki, a peasant farmer, explaining how to properly plant and grow it.
