Enjoy Singing? Want to celebrate the ideal of the United States Declaration of Independence and promote democracy through song?

Join the Claremont Chorale this spring!

We are preparing a program called Sing Democracy 250, which is a national initiative to promote the democratic ideals of the United States through song. We will perform the program on June 6.

We welcome new singers who want to join us for this concert for the next two Mondays! Rehearsals are Mondays from 7:30pm to 9:45pm (with a snack break!) at Claremont Community School of Music in Huff Recital Hall (across the breezeway from thr hair salon).

Inviting high school, college, and community choirs in every state to inspire through music a deeper sense of responsibility and unity among all citizens of this nation. As we commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, with performances by choirs in every state.

Join us for our spring concert this Saturday March 21 at the Claremont Community United Methodist Church.

Additionally, guests are invited to a pre-concert presentation on the background of Anne Frank's diary and its historical importance presented by Lainie Lapis, Claremont Chorale Board Vice President and singer.

Presentation will begin at 3:30pm.
Concert at 4:00pm.

Based on The Diary of Anne Frank, Annelies, by composer James Whitbourn and librettist Melanie Challenger features lyrics and scenes from Frank's diary during her family's hiding and subsequent capture by the N***s.

Pre-concert talk and slideshow about Anne Frank begins at 3:30pm

Concert begins at 4pm, opening with original music by guest artist and cantor, Leah Shoshanah.

These words were written by Anne Frank in 1943 in Amsterdam, but they echo in our minds and across our social media profiles today, in 2026.

Our March 21 concert presents the words of Anne Frank in a full length choral piece by James Whitbourn, entitled Annelies. It is a powerful work of art that helps us remember, connect, and feel deeply for the plight of people who are being targeted and are made to live in hiding or in fear, both past present, at home and abroad.

We look forward to engaging with this moving piece over the next two and half months.
