Blessing Box

The Blessing Box is an outdoor pantry stocked weekly with basic supplies for the homeless and those in need.

Location: 6th street, between Harvard and Yale, behind the ECC (Claremont United Church of Christ), in Claremont.

The Blessing Box is stocked weekly by gracious community members, families, and organizations who are willing to donate their time, items and effort.

Weekly caretakers will stock the box at the beginning of their week, then check on the box periodically during the week. We ask caretakers to make sure the box and its surrounding area are clean.

Blessing Box Hours of Operation:

Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Things to bring:

Most Needed Items

Canned food (preferably pop-tops that can be open and eaten without preparation)

Bottled water, juices etc

granola bars, snack bars

apple sauce, puddings

canned meats

toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, soaps, deodorants, shampoo, lotion, feminine hygiene products,etc)

clothing (non-bulky essentials) socks, underwear, undershirts, beanies, gloves, hats.

Anything that you think may help someone homeless or in need.

Please note: We want to make sure that all items that are gifted ALWAYS fit inside of the box. Extra items can not be stacked on top of or next to the box. We want to keep the area free from clutter. The area is not a drop-off zone for large items. If donating clothing items, they must be able to fit in the bottom shelves of the pantry and they must be in very good condition.
