California has seen its share of droughts, but -- at least in recent years -- it hasn't seen something like this. Governor Jerry Brown declared a drought emergency last week, shorty after it was revealed that 2013 was the state's driest year in recorded history.

CALPIRG Energy Service Corps. We are a non-profit national organization dedicated to conserving energy by reducing energy use in the 5C campuses and throughout Claremont. We conduct classes for students in grades K-12 in the Claremont community, hold various community services, and throw campus events in order to educate and promote energy-efficient practices. The event on Sunday, October 28th at the Margaret Fowler Garden at Scripps College is called Music by the Moonlight, an energy-free acoustic candlelit concert. Basically there will be a lot of acoustic music without using any sources of energy! http://www.facebook.com/events/353207204770348/. There are also more information about the concert so you should definitely check it out!
