"Women in Gaza are having their own sisterhood moment, in the form of a bike club. The small group braves derision, catcalls and even spitting as they break through limits set by Hamas. A lone male Gazan offered support. “So what if a woman rides a bike?” he exclaimed. “People have reached the moon already!”"

Four women are the first in years to pedal publicly in Gaza, where Hamas has restricted women’s sports, and they have drawn scorn from conservative Palestinians.
