We lost an incredible feminist! Gloria Steinem was trailblazer activist that activated woman to stand up for their rights!
As we continue the fight may we honor Gloria Steinem by continuing to stand up for all women!

Today, we mourn Gloria Steinem—and we honor a life that changed the world.

She gave voice to generations of women who had been told to stay quiet, know their place, accept less, and carry burdens that should never have been theirs alone. Through her journalism, organizing, writing, and unrelenting moral clarity, Steinem helped make equality not merely an aspiration, but a demand.

She understood that feminism was never only about women’s freedom. It was about human dignity: the right to be heard, to be safe, to control one’s own life, to be valued for one’s full humanity.

As a co-founder of Ms. magazine and a central figure in the modern women’s movement, Gloria Steinem did more than document a revolution. She helped build one. She challenged sexism in workplaces, homes, politics, media, and law—and urged people to imagine a country in which equality was lived, not just promised.

Her words remain a challenge and an invitation:

“Women may be the one group that grows more radical with age.”

Rest in power, Gloria Steinem. Your courage, humor, and conviction will continue to inspire.

This is the story behind Dolly Parton's hit song "9 to 5".

In the 1970s women in office jobs faced discrimination. They were paid less, passed over for promotions and experienced sexual harassment.

The 9 to 5 movement was established to fight for better treatment of working women

This was the inspiration for the Dolly Parton movie and song, “9 to 5”.

The 9 to 5 movement continues to campaign for women’s rights.
