AI is transforming education and the future of work.

Earlier today, the KGI community came together for the AI in Education Forum, moving beyond the big picture to real-world application. Keynote speaker Samir Chatterjee, founding director of IDEA Labs and Fletcher Jones Chair at Claremont Graduate University, shared how AI is reshaping teaching, learning, and professional practice.

Our Beaker Bee, Amir Golshani '26, continued the conversation with insights from KGI MBS alumni William Raasch ’09, founder & CEO of WeHealth, and Hans Smith ’09, general counsel & head of intellectual property at Xilis, Inc., who reflected on how the AI skills they developed after KGI have been essential to their career success.

The conversation explored ethical innovation, practical tools, and how KGI is empowering its community to lead responsibly in an AI-driven world.

Take a look at this!
KGI welcomed back two standout alumni from the Class of 2024, Paola Pinto and Ivan Vegar, to share their experiences with our current students.

Paola, now a first-year podiatry student at Western University of Health Sciences and Ivan, a second-year MD student at Loma Linda University, spoke to the LMSA+ group about the reality of the transition from KGI to medical school.

They provided invaluable "real talk" for our pre-med and pre-health students, fielding questions on navigating academic rigor, strategies for MCAT preparation, and the thought process behind choosing medical specialties.

Seeing our graduates return to help support the next generation is exactly what the KGI community is all about. Thank you, Paola and Ivan, for your time and mentorship!

KGI was honored to host alumnus Marcus McClure, '19 PharmD, and current Senior Medical Science Liaison at Sanofi, for our latest Research Seminar Speaker Series. McClure shared invaluable insights from his extensive career journey, including formative roles at CVS, Rutgers, Sanofi, and Amgen. His presentation shed light on the diverse and dynamic work of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) in the pharmaceutical industry.

“You just have to be able to have those scientific conversations… it just gets refined over time. The more and more you're in those situations, and the more and more you understand,” McClure said. "You just have to understand that you can think critically and problem solve on your own without so much guidance."

Thank you, Dr. McClure, for inspiring the next generation of scientific leaders!
