A new chapter for AgingNext.
On October 1, AgingNext and the Service Center for Independent Life (SCIL) became one organization: Spring Street Center.
For 52 years, you have helped AgingNext serve older adults and their families with independence, dignity, and connection. That work doesn’t end. It grows. Joined with SCIL’s 45 years of service to people with disabilities, that is 97 years of service under one name.
The people you know and the services you count on are still here, including The Ellen & Wing Tam Enrichment Center and every program you rely on.

Our new name tells you where we are rooted: Spring Street in Claremont, where AgingNext and SCIL have long been neighbors and now share a permanent home.
Our logo is a tree with two trunks, one honoring AgingNext and one honoring SCIL, with branches that form one shared canopy.
To our deep roots, and to all the possibilities ahead.

America turns 250 today! 🎂🎉🇺🇸

Here’s something worth thinking about at the barbecue: a neighbor turning 100 this year has been here for 40% of American history. Not read about it - lived it! The moon landing, the V-J Day, the first television on the block.

At AgingNext, we help that generation keep living it - independently, at home, with dignity. A Volunteer Driver to the doctor’s appointment. A Senior Companion for an afternoon of conversation. A Resource Specialist who answers when a family doesn’t know where to start.

Last night, under the trees, surrounded by laughter, conversation, music, generosity, and connection, we celebrated the mission that has guided AgingNext for more than 50 years: helping older adults and their families live well, age well, and remain connected to the community they love.

They do work most people don’t think about until it’s too late, helping older adults understand Medicare and avoid fraud.
