We’ve had a few questions lately about why we charge a rental fee, and we want to be open and transparent with our community.

The Clancy Community Center doesn’t receive ongoing funding from the county or any organization. We rely entirely on donations, grants, and rentals to cover expenses. Our volunteers handle everything from cleaning and maintenance to ongoing repairs — and while our new roof and energy-efficient heaters have helped, utilities and upkeep still add up, especially through the colder months.

Before setting rental rates, we researched community spaces in nearby towns. Based on what we found, and with limited history of winter utility use, the board set rates at $50/hour or $250/day to help offset costs. As we gain more experience and data, our hope is to adjust rates when possible.

We’re so thankful for the community’s continued support, donations, and encouragement! It’s what keeps this space open and thriving for everyone. ❤️

🎉 WE DID IT, CLANCY! 🎉
Our community came together and MET the full grant match needed for the ADA-accessible door project! 🙌 Thank you. Truly.

Because of your generosity, we will receive the full $10,000 from the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation. Even better, your support went beyond the match allowing us to set aside some reserve funds to help cover ongoing monthly maintenance and operating costs that keep the Center open and thriving. ❤️
