What a great community forum we had last night!

Big thank you to Mike French and Jake Seeger for showing up and taking the time to talk with folks, answer questions, and be part of the conversation for District 3. The community they plan to serve.

And a huge thank you to the Keepers, the Lions Club, and the Visitor Center for hosting and helping make it all happen. Our local volunteers and nonprofits in Clallam Bay and Sekiu are the backbone of a lot of what we do here, and I’m really grateful for every one of you.

The best part of the night was just seeing people show up, ask questions, listen, and be part of their community. That’s what it’s all about.

Overall, I’m really proud of how it went. Good people, good conversations, and a lot of community spirit in the room🙌🤓

And finally… congratulations to Mary M. on winning the blanket!! 🎉 We’ll be in touch to get that to you.

REMINDER: WEST END COMMUNITY FORUM — TOMORROW!

Please join us Wednesday, August 19 at 6:00 PM at the Sekiu Community Center.

We’ll be hosting Mike French and Jake Seeger, candidates for District 3 Clallam County Commissioner. This is your chance to meet the candidates in person, hear directly from them, ask the questions that matter to you, and get engaged in the district you live in.

🗣️ Community Questions:
To keep the forum fair and informative, please direct your questions to both candidates. Each candidate will have a few minutes to respond so everyone has an opportunity to hear their answers.

🎟️ Raffle Reminder:
We also have a beautiful blanket, “Beach Glass,” donated by Carol Schultz, being raffled off. Tickets are still available, and the winning ticket will be drawn at the end of the meeting!

Proceeds from the raffle will help support the efforts of the Slip Point Lighthouse Keepers.

You can buy tickets through Venmo or at sunset west co-op to support the Slip point lighthouse keepers efforts 🙌 one dollar each or six tickets for five dollar!
Drawing will be Aug 19th after community forum.

Primary voting is happening now through August 4. The primary election helps decide which candidates will move on to the General Election in November.
