We are excited to announce the results of our mural voting! 🗳️

After tallying all the votes, Option 2 has been selected as the winning mural design with a total of 276 votes! 🎉🏆

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made your voices heard. ❤️ Your involvement helped shape this exciting project for our community. 🙌🏽

As the mural moves into the creation phase, please note that the selected artist will use Option 2 as the foundation for the artwork while incorporating their own creative vision and artistic style. 🎨🖌️ This will ensure the final mural is both inspired by the chosen design and uniquely brought to life by the artist.

The mural will proudly feature the message:

WELCOME TO CITRUS HEIGHTS

Each of the 22 letters is available for adoption at $200 per letter. Your sponsorship will help fund the creation of a beautiful community landmark that welcomes residents and visitors while celebrating the spirit of Citrus Heights.

The mural’s design has evolved and will no longer include the slogan, but will instead feature artwork.

We hear the concerns from artists and community members about the use of AI generated visuals. Our mission is rooted in supporting human creativity, artists, and cultural storytelling and we recognize that this missed the mark for some in our community.

Moving forward, we will reevaluate how artists are selected for this project and step away from the use of AI in the creative process to ensure a more thoughtful and artist centered approach.

We’re looking for artists to showcase their work during this exciting community event celebrating creativity, culture, talent inside City Hall.
