For Kristy, being an APC member is about staying informed on labor issues, bargaining, and the decisions that impact Unit 4 employees and the workplace.
A proud Cal State Long Beach alumna, Kristy earned her degree in Business Administration before returning to build a long-term career at the university she proudly calls home. As she puts it: GO BEACH!

How can I support another union on strike?
There are many ways to show solidarity with members of other unions through lawful off-duty activities. ✊

However, it's important to understand that Article 9 of the APC Collective Bargaining Agreement prohibits sympathy strikes, meaning APC members may not join another union's strike.

Meet APC member Nicholas Curry from San Francisco State University. 💚
Nicholas believes that when employees are protected and respected, everyone benefits, including the students, staff, and faculty we serve. That's why he joined APC: to add his voice to a stronger collective advocating for fairness, safety, and quality public higher education.

Having started at the CSU as a student assistant before becoming a staff member, Nicholas has dedicated his career to supporting a mission he believes in: that higher education is a right and that serving students contributes to something greater than ourselves.
