Happy National Thrift Shop Day!

This day is a perfect chance to thank Ian and Rachael for their hard work at the thrift store! Their dedication directly raises money for the .

By sorting donations and pulling empty hangers, they fund the care of our shelter dogs. This works hand-in-hand with our other volunteers who work directly with the animals. Together, everyone helps the community in every way they can!

Happy National Relaxation Day! 🧘✨

Ever wonder what the team does when the laptops close? 💻

Working at CES and PEC keeps us moving at hyper-speed, but preventing burnout means knowing exactly how to hit the brakes. We polled the team on our absolute favorite ways to recharge after a heavy work week:

🎵 The Sound Trackers: Listening to vinyl records, bands, movie soundtracks, and soothing sound bowls.

🧘 The Wellness Seekers: Recharging with yoga, meditation, massages, head spas, and sensory deprivation tanks.

🎨 The Cozy Creators: Diving into coloring books, writing, video games, or catching a movie on the couch.

🌿 The Nature & Pet Lovers: Spending time watering garden plants, exploring nature by hiking or river rafting, and snuggling with cats and pups.

No matter the method, making time to unplug is how we bring our best energy back to our projects.

Free online college classes are available to adults with disabilities throughout California! Deadline to apply is August 10th🎓

Through North Orange Continuing Education’s Online Access Pass, eligible California residents age 18 and older can take tuition-free classes from home while building skills for employment, independence and community participation.

Fall classes cover:
✅ Employment and workplace communication
✅ Computers and digital skills
✅ Independent living
✅ Social and communication skills
✅ Self-advocacy and decision-making
✅ Reading and writing

Students also receive personalized support with enrollment and registration. Fall classes begin Aug. 10, so interested students are encouraged to apply soon.
