The August issue of Driving Opportunity is here! ⛳

This month, we’re showing what creating pathways of opportunity looks like at every stage.

🏫 We’re taking golf directly to school campuses, preparing to reach approximately 3,000 students across six schools every week during the 2026–2027 school year.

🏌🏾 We’re hearing from 15-year-old Isaiah Diaz, who shares how CCF has helped open doors to tournaments, experiences, and opportunities he once never imagined.

🎓 And there’s still time to apply for a 2026 Cameron Champ Foundation scholarship — applications close August 31.

From a student picking up a golf club for the first time to a young golfer pursuing bigger goals on and off the course, this is what our mission is all about: creating pathways that help young people discover what’s possible, and giving them opportunities to keep moving forward.

Since launching the Mack Champ Invitational...

🏌🏾 117 alumni have gone on to compete in collegiate golf.

🎓 Many have also received Cameron Champ Foundation scholarships to help continue their education.

Because our goal has always been bigger than golf.

We're creating pathways to opportunity.

Today, on International Day of Friendship, we're celebrating one of the most meaningful outcomes of junior golf—the friendships that last far beyond the tournament.

Over the years, we've heard countless stories from players who arrived as competitors and left as lifelong friends. Through practice rounds, rain delays, shared meals, and unforgettable moments on the course, these young athletes build connections that cross state lines, backgrounds, and generations.

While our mission is to create pathways of opportunity through golf, education, and mentorship, the friendships formed along the way are one of the richest and most rewarding parts of the journey.

Happy International Day of Friendship to all the players, families, and friends who make our community so special. 🤝⛳️

Continuing Legacies. Creating Futures.

Every scholarship we award tells a story.

At the heart of that story is Mack Champ—a grandfather with a generous spirit and love for the game, which he passed on to Cameron.

His legacy lives on through the Chevron | Mack Champ Scholarship and the Mack Champ Invitational, where young golfers are challenged, encouraged, and inspired to pursue their dreams both on and off the course.

Alongside Mack's legacy, our scholarships also honor trailblazers and leaders whose impact helped shape the game and open doors for future generations—including Dr. Charlie Sifford, who broke golf's color barrier.

Robert “Doc” Sims, whose lifetime of service helped create educational opportunities, inspire young golfers, and shape generations of leaders.

Bill Dickey, whose lifelong commitment to creating opportunity continues to inspire, and Ken Bentley, whose leadership and mentorship have changed countless lives.

Together, these scholarships represent more than financial assistance. They represent a belief that character, perseverance, education, and opportunity can transform lives.

To date, 117 Mack Champ Invitational alumni have gone on to compete in collegiate golf, earning opportunities at Ivy League universities, HBCUs, Power Five programs, and many other outstanding colleges and universities.

With one application, students will automatically be considered for every Cameron Champ Foundation scholarship for which they are eligible.
